Republican former President Donald Trump is set to return to the White House after securing over 270 Electoral College votes, as projected by the Associated Press, following the nationwide vote on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
In what many expected to be a tight race, Trump surged ahead, winning decisively. He captured key battleground states early on, starting with Georgia and North Carolina, before dismantling the “blue wall” by securing Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which clinched his victory. As of early Wednesday, Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada remained uncalled, but the AP announced the overall result.
